At Vincell Studios, we launched all our titles under Escape Games Mysteries mobile app. Yep, you’ve read it right. All the point-and-click adventure games will now be available in one app! As a player, you know this is going to be advantageous for you. We’ll tell you more about it, but first, we’d like to share how this came about.
On a Friday evening, when everyone was recommending their favourite finds on Netflix, a thought came to our minds. If over-the-top streaming services like Hulu and Amazon Prime Video can offer multiple titles and genres, then why can’t our game do the same?
The more we pondered, the more we realized that there was merit to this idea. Content is so personal and subjective. There are days when a mystery will hook us, and then we might want to move on to something lighter. We wanted our players to have that option with our games. The idea got green-lit.
Soon after, the developers furiously started pounding at their keyboards, creating codes that would enable the migration process. This move was to be done for live games where players have engaged and made in-app purchases. It was no easy feat, but in hindsight, this has been the most exciting time for everyone at the studios.
Now why is this great for the players?
- Players can access multiple titles at one go
- All content is available in one place
- Allows to easily switch between titles or play any number of titles
- No need to download separate games
- More spend value for players who avail of in-app purchases
- It will help save mobile data/space
The Escape Games Mysteries app will provide a seamless and hassle-free experience for our players. However, we are testing this idea with 3 of our titles: Escape Games – Lost Temple, Escape Games – Spy Agent, and Lost Temple – Puzzle Edition. The remaining titles will be added shortly.
What will happen to the individually published games, you ask? They will be taken down from the store eventually. And more titles are underway that will be added to Escape Games Mysteries. There is a horror story and a second instalment of the Lost Temple that is already in the making. There are several new ideas for mysteries that are getting shortlisted.
“We hope our players appreciate the seamless experience we intend to provide with Escape Games Mysteries. We’ve put a lot of effort into it, and we can’t wait to see them play it. Thank you for always supporting our indie studio.”, said Kathir Suyambu, CEO of Vincell Studios.
